14 Days In January, 2014 - Charles River, Cambridge, MA, USA
What a difference a day can make…
The Cambridge bank of the river is a pool of deep liquid blackness.
Ice on the Boston side is fragmentary, breaking up the city lights.
Foreground sodium vapor lights produce a deep golden orange glow.
This body of work was made along the Cambridge side of the Charles River over a period of fourteen days in January 2014. This is an outgrowth of my previous work along this same stretch of the River, exploring variations in light, color texture and mood.
