14 Days In January, 2014 - Charles River, Cambridge, MA, USA
What a difference a day can make…
A cloudy day, but with a brilliant, almost blinding light.
The coarse ice serves as an enormous reflector, amplifying the light’s intensity.
Just a little color from the boats today; they are also brilliantly white.
This body of work was made along the Cambridge side of the Charles River over a period of fourteen days in January 2014. This is an outgrowth of my previous work along this same stretch of the River, exploring variations in light, color texture and mood.
